Paul needs a nickname intervention. Seems to me that Clifton is a weirder name than Phifer. You’ve got Mekhi Phifer and Roman Phifer, but I can’t think of a lot of other Cliftons.

It’s a fine last name. It would be odd as a first name. I guess middle names end up being last names rather than first names a lot of the time though.
