I don’t think I’ve ever heard Valbuena talk, but for some reason, I picture him soundly like Avery Johnson. A Venezuelan version.

Alright I’m putting off being productive whatsoever for at least Carlos’ first inning. This better be awesome.
Or striking out the side. Or charging the plate and punching Maglio in his stupid face. Something like that.
i really back the concept of charging the plate. more of this.

For the record:
Scouting report: An athletic backstop who can hit for average and knows how to get on base. He has some extra-base power, but it’s not a strength. His quick release and accurate arm enable him to throw runners out. Also has off-the-charts makeup and handles a staff well.
somewhere there is an alternate universe where carrasco has recorded three strikeouts already

I took one of my cats (the “mischievous” one) to the vet once and asked how to go about getting him to follow direction better. I said “he just doesn’t respond to punishment”. Punishment meaning, loud hand claps or squirting with a water bottle. The vet said “Oh my, I don’t recommend hitting a cat” and her response made me feel so bad. Just the thought of doing such a thing bothered me, plus it bothered me that she thought that’s what I meant.

Our vet suggested we keep the cat from taking up the whole bed with a squirt bottle with water and a little bit of vinegar. The cat scoffed, but our bedroom smelled of easter.
