Season 3 for me. Hampsterdam was an extremely daring storyline, beautifully executed.

For a show so rooted in its feeling of reality, it ran the risk of being too outrageous, but they pulled it off.

by APV on Sep 11, 2009 9:43 PM EDT up reply actions

How do you mean?

by Jay on Sep 11, 2009 9:45 PM EDT up reply actions

The transition from season 3 to 4 didn’t really leave much of a time gap or a character gap. A lot of the season 4 storylines are direct continuations of the season 3 ones. In contrast, the season 1 to 2 jump was kind of abrupt. Daniels sort of magically getting the gang back together…all these longshoremen out of nowhere. And then the season 2 to 3 jump had a similar departure, as the story suddenly moved down much more to the district level.
