Choo Hoping to Move to Strong Team
Choo confides to The Korea Times. Translated by robots, apparently.
UPDATE: A Korean reporter weighs in, says he doesn't think Choo ever actually said the word for "trade," but rather was just expressing his envy of teams in the postseason. [Jay]

Oh God, it’s starting already.
Couldn’t he have saved this talk for when we know we can’t keep him anyway? It sounds like he wants to leave even before he is due for the big payday! In that case, maybe trade his sorry behind for starting pitching.

As with other posters, I also want to transfer to a blog which wins more. If I could move to a winning blog, I could generate better posts and improve more. I have recently become facebook friends with one of the managers, but haven’t had any assurances that the blog will win more. Even though the blog has nurtured many young good posters, we have lost many strong ones such as brick, PatBordersHelmet and fleerdon, and we may not hear from logodaedalus and Julie until next season. But I could stay with this blog, based on Adam Miller.

Haha, yes of course, based on Adam Miller being the best part.

I don’t take the same offense to this as everyone else is. We know we have Choo for the next few years at which point he’ll end up with BOS, NYY, LAD or wherever. He’s represented by Boras – there’s no doubt he’s chasing the money when he’s a free agent.
I’m going to enjoy watching him play while he’s here. I have no illusions about his motivations and will certainly not get attached to him. While it sucks seeing it in black and white like that, we certainly didn’t need a bad translation to know his intentions. That was more plainly put last year when he signed with Boras.
I just want to believe.
At least it’s on the table early.
Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

It’s one thing to chase the money. It’s quite another to express for two years that you want out with the team you’re still playing for before the payday has arrived.

We can only hope that over the next three years that he is motivated to unleash holocene slaughter on American League pitchers and fire in many death balls from the outfield in order to earn the transfer he desires.

Castro cleared this up on Twitter. Choo believes Indians can win next year, expressed no desire to receive a “transfer.” Desire was purely out of envy to be a winning team.
Posted this update above.
It’s a little dubious as to whether he actually used the word for trade/transfer or not.
Scott Boras says it’s all “nonsense”. For whatever that might be worth.
Obviously
Obviously this is going to happen sooner than later. Hopefully we do not lose him to free agency and get some prospects that are worthy of playing in the major leagues. He is one of my favorite players.
