Three friends — baseball executives Mark and Chris and their zany actor-roommate Steve Guttenberg—are sharing an apartment in downtown Cleveland. When tight-laced Mark opens the door one non-descript morning, he and his two flatmates find a 9 year old boy — wearing a pint-sized baseball uniform — left outside their door. The three buddies decide to try to raise the child to replace the oft-injured-former-superstar of Chris and Mark's baseball team, a "nice guy finishing last" named Grady. The roommates get to work immediately using the tools they have, including a laptop computer, a palette of juice boxes that Steve received in lieu of payment for a commercial gig, and coaching from baseball great Sandy Alomar Jr. Can these hilariously mismatched friends get Little Grady ready for opening day? Along the way, will Mark and Chris realize that baseball is not as easy as it seems? And will Steve Guttenberg fall for beautiful Margot (played by Meg Ryan), the leading child protection attorney in the state?
This movie is the long-awaited sequel to 1991's "Three Men and a Fayby" in which Mark and Steve Guttenberg, along with their friend Franky (played by Paul Reiser), try to turn a mystery baby into an able replacement for MLB Commissioner Fay Vincent.
