LGT Fantasy: Draft Thread
An update on our CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League (for those interested, you'll be able to join for half-off through this link):
The teams are all set, the rules are in place, and finally it's time to build the rosters. Tonight's the live draft, and I believe everyone will be on to make their picks. The combination of a 12-team league with a mixed-league player pool should make for some stacked rosters.
I'll be updating things throughout the evening, so even if you aren't in our league, feel free to rip our picks, or anything else on your minds.
Update: The draft's complete. You can view our rosters here.

Don’t care for the CBS draft system. Unless I missed it, there was no way to see your lineup other than the master roster grid. I like the Yahoo system better.
Yeah you missed it, the middle option showed just your team and filled them in per position as you went. But you’re right anyway.. not that smooth. Especially considering what happened to MY FIRST PICK!
Welcome back, Sandy! ATALECG...
Somebody asked me about the enhancements we asked for on CBS. I had to think about it, but it was the Scout Team feature, the improved chat on the live game feed. And there was something our commish wanted that they added. I would guess they do things that are popular, but they did do them.
I was the one who asked – although I was confused because I thought you were talking about enhancements to your Yahoo League.
The only problem I have right now is that I can’t figure out how to sort waver wire players except by name. Maybe it will change after there are some stats, but one of the nice things I like about Yahoo is that you can see how players have done recently, see how they’re projected to play, etc. when looking up waver wire pickups. I went in last night to see what type of SP might have slipped through the cracks and was confronted with an unsortable alphabetical list of players. Of course it could be I missed something since I waited until after the KSU-XAV game last night to try.
Generally, I’m looking forward to live scoring that comes with CBS (I’m too stingy to get it in Yahoo) and I’ll withhold judgement on CBS’s fantasy site until we get a few weeks in.
I just wanted to believe.
Yes, it is now free for the first time for baseball. It was free for football and basketball this last season as well.

This link should take you to a sortable list of free agents:

That is with projections, you can switch to 2009 stats. Is that what you’re looking for? Hey look, Brett Myers…
The problem I have is that I’ve been preparing for weeks to draft in my AL-only league, which obviously has a ridiculously shallower talent field, so I look at these rosters to weigh in and I think, “Wow, that team’s stacked… Wow, that team’s stacked… Wow…”

I, at least, would love to hear some outside independant analysis of how the draft went. Any thoughts outside of every team is stacked?
(By and by, I was looking through waver wire possibilities and there is a lot of talent still left undrafted. It’s amazing…)
I just wanted to believe.
