I hear they get their hair cut at the same place.

LaPorta’s been lost at the plate today, but that was a heck of a play to get the DP and not allow the run to score.
Must not be here for baseball either. Because that isn't what we're playing.
What happened?
In the new Geico commercial, Marte sings "Let me be myself" on Wedge's front lawn (with the cavemen).

Acta just mentioned that Josh Tomlin will start Tuesday against the Yanks
"Ok everyone listen up! I've just invited Dave to suck it!"
Not exactly a strikeout pitcher (6.7/9) or a ground ball pitcher (40%). He’s also seemingly been quite lucky this year (.240 BABIP, 4.06 FIP to a 2.68 ERA). I’m going to go out on a limb and guess we don’t get lucky again like we did with Gomez.
Good control, though (2.7BB/9).
Apparently, we’re employing the strategy where we pick a minor league pitcher so un-formidable, there’s a good chance the Yankees won’t bother to scout him.
I think you’re giving the Yankees too much credit. When I was 14, an 8-4, 2.68 line was quite impressive.
Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

we might get a Marte DFA to go with that.

Rivero or a trade then, right?
or to a lesser extent, Jordan Brown.

My immediate thought was a Kearns trade. We’re already carrying five OFs + LaPorta and Nix (who, apparently, can play the corners). And, to a lesser extent, Chris Gimenez. So, point being, even if we ship Kearns out, we’re in fine shape defensively in the outfield.
Of course, that would require a hard set date for a trade, which could always fall through.
You’re dreaming. We’ll be lucky to get a dominoes set in return for Andy.
Resident LGT results-oriented boob.
I’m confused – been workin’ in the heat too long – yeah I was thinkin’ Jhonny and typed Andy, but I don’t see either of those guys drawin’ flies by August 1.

Doesn’t have to be August 1, or even the real deadline, August 31.
To clarify, my point was that Peralta won’t be around next season, so it makes sense to keep Marte around as an option. He’ll be eligible for arbitration, but I doubt he’ll get much more than 1M.
So yeah, why not DFA Peralta at this point?
If he’s not worth anything at the end of July, is it really worth playing him all of August just on the slim hope that it all breaks perfectly right and we get some trinket?
