Hey everyone
Mind if I hangout here for a little? I promise I’m not the type of Yankees fan that doesn’t know anything and is obnoxious and etc. I don’t troll and if anyone asks me to leave I leave. I go to the opposing teams site once a series to see what’s going on, as I write for the Yankees SB Nation site.

Well I hate him when he has success against us, but I certainly acknowledge that Rivera is one of the best closers in the game and one of the best ever.

I actually do respect Mariano more than any other member of the squad and my reasons for this aside (from his amazing ability to create outs) are largely intangible.

Yes. Hughes is done this year. He needs to go to the pen. He’ll be great next year, but it’s clear that he’s become tired with so many innings pitched and needs to shut it down. He’s no longer effective. Do you deny that?
In the new Geico commercial, Marte sings "Let me be myself" on Wedge's front lawn (with the cavemen).
by V-Mart Shopper on Jul 27, 2010 7:36 PM EDT up reply actions
I'm not going to deny it, but I'm not going to acknowledge it
I think it’s a tough call. He was unbelievably unlucky in his last start (two horrible umpire calls led to 2 of the 3 runs allowed) but also struggled to get outs. Had a very solid start just a couple ago, he is definitely slowing down, but I’d really hate moving him to the pen.
Writer for Pinstripe Alley, MLB Daily Dish
Follow me on twitter @nyybrandonc
I mean, obviously you want Hughes going forward, but Westbrook is more likely to be effective for the remainder of the season. Let’s call a spade a spade: The Yankees haven’t won a World Series in 265 days. Hughes might be the future, but this sort of time-lapsed embarrassment is not something an organization like the Yankees can tolerate.
As I said before it's less about Hughes as it is about Westbrook
There’s something about him, for whatever reason, that makes me think he won’t be effective and it’ll be a waste

watching the yankees stream, they’ve already started trying to justify what CC did.
I have been complimented many times and they always embarrass me; I always feel that they have not said enough.
I have no problem with what he did. It’s his ex-post comments that he’s made about winning and how CLE didn’t want to win enough. That’s the absurd, super hatable part.
I’ve never seen castro as worked up about anything as I have at trying to get the truth out there about CC. I’ll admit to kind of liking him before all the bad quotes I’ve read over the past 2 weeks.
I mean, just admit that you took the money. There’s not a person in the world who can’t understand that. Straight cash, homie.
And he’s not exactly local, so totally agree. No one accused him of quitting here, he could have left with a clean conscious and reputation.
Instead, he’s taking shots at the management for “trading everyone away” (half true, obviously) while at the same time admitting he had no intention of signing after the 2007 season.
Flaherty claims CC had a “nice ovation” from the home crowd tonight.
Singleton laughed that the media was comparing CC with Lebron. He showed the trade with the brewers and what we got back for CC, and he said “The Cavs got nothing for lebron”
He did acknowledge though that everyone knows CC was going to leave as a free agent.
