Just interested.
What would you rather see if you had to chose?
Tribe loses, no A-Rod homer.
Or
Tribe wins, A-Rod gets 600.
I would have to take option 1. I don’t think I could stomach watching some douchebag in a Yankees hat get that ball in our backyard.
Every pessimist thinks himself a realist. In the case of Cleveland sports fans, they are probably right.
I was kind of hoping that if it happens, the ball is caught by an Indians fan who then gets tossed for throwing it back onto the playing field. Dude would be by new hero.

2, easily. He’ll say that he’s glad to get #600, but wished they could have won because that’s the important thing. I’ll enjoy not believing him.

Option #2. Winning always trumps peripheral (roid-aided) bullshit.

Too much to ask for I think.
But we can hope.

Even Brantley hits homeruns in Columbus.

From a health perspective, we’ve done pretty well this year, rotation-wise.

MLB is using Valbuena’s Clippers picture for Gameday, rather than reverting back to his Indians picture.
I find that really amusing.
Cabrera, Choo, and LaPorta only starters tonight who started opening day.
Of other opening day starters, only Hafner currently on 25-man roster.
They need to rename that place Lastoria Field.

I actually expected worse from this mess, Raffy. Good job.

In Columbus, teams have combined for 10 xbh and 1 bb.
In Cleveland, 1 xbh and 7 bb.
I know there’s better baseball being played in Cleveland, but I’d rather be watching the game in Columbus.
Has Nix played 3b before in his career? Is he as good there as he is at 2b? I know sss and all but…. come on.

I think it was a slider that went inside and sunk
In the new Geico commercial, Marte sings "Let me be myself" on Wedge's front lawn (with the cavemen).
Not that it actually sunk, but it looked like it sunk. I think it’s an optical illusion because of the arm angle combined with the camera angle. I was just trying to describe the appearance of the pitch.

Never, ever good for any player, but, next to a shoulder injury, just about as bad as it gets for a pitcher.
Resident LGT results-oriented boob.
In the short-term, yeah, but I’m more confident in being able to properly rehab a back strain than miraculously heal a tendinitis.

That can mean a six-run inning, or bases-loaded, nobody out, and no runs. I expected the worst when I read that.

Well I gotta go. Hopefully we win, or at least don’t give A-Roid his HR.
We are all witnesses... to a traitor.
Hermann got away with throwing some fastballs right down the middle that inning.

Wow. Flaherty says if there’s one thing Brett Gardner needs to improve about his game it’s bunting toward 2nd base. Yes. Bunting. He needs to work on bunting. The guy batting .300 who leads the league in average pitches seen per at bat – what a great idea!

This, FlaGators, is a big part of why I wanted Fausto to stay in the game a bit longer last night. Looks like our pen is looping back to “suck” mode.

Yeah. For a while there…things were looking fairly good.
I’m just a believer in the school of thought that you do everything to win the game at the present and worry about tomorrow……tomorrow. Because eventually…there are no more tomorrows.
Like you throw your Ace out there in game 6 instead of saving him for game 7. Because there might not be a game 7.
Until next season of course.

Of course. However, this team ran out of tomorrows a month and change ago. :)
