They might not realize it yet, but one of these two teams will end up winning this series.

So, Sabathia wins in Oakland now? My times have changed.

They should have just placed Safeco directly on the railroad tracks. Talk about homefield advantage. Certainly beats those silly catwalks in Tampa. And visiting players would certainly have to think twice before taking off on a dead run after a flyball when the 7:45 is due at any second.

Damn it! I knew that was cool an idea for nobody else to have thought of it!

In Thailand there are open-air markets on train tracks. They pull back the stalls when trains pass through. Let me see if I can find a video. Anyway, it could work like that.

Linked off that: Dustin Pedroia Will Have Season-Ending Surgery. Wonder if an assistant will stuff a Yankees jersey inside the wound before they stitch him up.

In case you’re not watching, I’m not reacting to anything in particular. This game, this season, the whole general vibe of this team just hit me.

I listen to Aaron Neville’s “Tell It Like It Is,” then I hear this Folgers commercial, and I just have to say, “What the fuck happened, Aaron?”

So Cabrera, Valbuena, and Choo have both done something good tonight. I hope Smith gets a hold.

Brantley might be the brightest spot on the team right now. He has hits in 12 of the last 12 games he’s started. He was .291/.337/.418 in August. And getting on base so often has made him into a legit threat to steal – he has seven SBs since the break. And maybe best of all, these numbers have come from consistent production rather than spurts. Really encouraging.
From, Ben
Come on now, Seattle deserves a chance to win, too. It’s the polite thing to do.

Occasionally you hear people claim that Ichiro, like Ty Cobb, could hit home runs if he wanted to.
But not against Sipp. That was nasty.
Per Hammy: Figgins, Gutz and Branyan have all k’d 100+ times this year.

Poll Question:
Any point in going to a Felix Hernandez v Justin Masterson match-up on Sunday?
Len Barker Perfect Game Attendee
If Masterson is “on,” it should be an interesting duel. That’s all I’ve got.

So this whole tacky-2000-college-guy-necklace thing that the Tribe has going is a schtick right? Intentional fun?
Sadly, I think not.

Phiten products work with your body’s energy system, helping to regulate and balance the flow of energy throughout your body. Proper energy balance helps to alleviate discomfort, speed recovery, and counteract fatigue.
From wearing freaking titanium necklaces? Why didn’t I think of this?

Phiten Technology is based around the different applications of our high-intensity Phild Process. Titanium has been found by our scientists to be particularly responsive to the Phild Process; meaning, it is consistently effective in emitting, or “passing on” the stabilizing effect of the Phild Process.
Serious LOL. Amazing.

He has regained 08 form with the Tigers. Although he might be heating up now and who knows where he’ll end up. Was he dogging it in Cleveland the past 2 years?

I like both of them going forward. Minus a major lapse this year over about 7 appearances where he couldn’t even get an out, Sipp has been pretty good I think.
