  • Jeanmar Gomez has been shut down for the remainder of the season. He's thrown 173.2 innings this season, which is roughly 25 more innings than he threw last season between Akron and Columbus. Because of the off-day on Thursday, the Indians won't need to add another starter to the rotation. Here's the schedule for the last four games of the season:

Wednesday: Josh Tomlin

Thursday: Off

Friday: Fausto Carmona

Saturday: Carlos Carrasco

Sunday: Mitch Talbot

Also mentioned in the above link: Jason Donald (index finger) is probably not going to play the rest of the season, which means more Luis Valbuena.

  • Anthony Castrovince catches up with Carlos Santana, though there's no new news on how his injured knee is doing.
  • Here's some more details on the Progressive Field Snow Days. Five dollars will get you access to everything except the ice lanes and the giant snow tube slide.
