The New Free Agents
MLB Trade Rumors did a nice job compiling all the NL and AL Non-Tender decisions. You can see all the decisions in their Tender Tracker. From their sources, here's the complete list of newly minted free agents. In the interest of attribution, I've used the player's name to link to the source MLBTR listed; if no source was provided, I assume that the links above to the MLBTR lists are the correct place to credit. Complete list after the jump.
Ronny Paulino
Mike Baxter
Jeff Keppinger
Eli Whiteside
Ryan Spilborghs
Cole Garner
Joe Saunders
Micah Owings
Obviously, the big name in the group is Luke Scott. Scott was non-tendered because he was arbitration eligible and likely to make more than his $6.4M salary last season, despite having had off-season shoulder surgery. The Orioles will likely try to resign Scott at a lower number. There some other notable (Sonnanstine, Saunders) and familiar (Gimenez, Laffey) names but, as you'd expect, it's a pretty uninspiring group. Anyone you'd like to see the Tribe take a flier on?

I’d take a look at Hong-Chih Kuo, Clay Hensley and Ryan Spilborghs (what a name, by the way).
I like ex-Phillies prospects.

I’d take Laffey on a minor league deal, and offer actual deals to these three:
Hong-Chih Kuo
Joe Saunders
Micah Owings
by the way, Andrew… you’re a content generating machine the past week or two. Props.

Hopefully
the picture is a joke because you do not want Pedro Ciriaco… as a Pirates fan, trust me.

List should’ve ended with “and, to a lesser extent…”. Missed opportunity.
