Pronk2

Pronk has hair! Am I the only one who thought he was bald by genetics not choice? This is from the latest blog by Bastian, which has some other nice morsels, including positing Anthony Reyes as a sleeper for the #5 spot and asserting he's worked "90-96 MPH". That'sf a broad range but 96 sounds nice.

No, I thought the same thing. I was convinced he was going bald and just didn’t want a horseshoe cut. Color me surprised.

I’d be more okay with it if it weren’t cut like Derek Jeter’s.

As an under-30 man with a receding hairline, I feel a little betrayed.

It’s a sign of virility, you know. As is back hair.

Donald helps himself, Huff doesn’t. From cle.com:

Game time: Jeanmar Gomez and Justin Masterson each pitched a scoreless inning to start today’s intrasquad game.

Jason Donald gave third base coach Steve Smith’s team a 2-1 lead with an RBI triple in the third off Joe Smith. It was Donald’s second hit of the game. He also made a nice play at third base to end the second.

Ezequiel Carrera opened the third with a single, stole second and scored on Donald’s triple. Donald scored on Jason Buck’s two-out infield hit to Matt LaPorta at first base for a 3-1 lead.

Mike Sarbaugh’s club made it 3-2 in the third when Michael Brantley tripled and Luke Carlin scored pinch-runner Jared Head with a ground out.

Smith’s team took a 1-0 lead in the second when Shelley Duncan hit a leadoff double off David Huff. He scored on Cord Phelps ground ball. Huff recorded only two hits before he ran out of pitches. He allowed three hits.

Sarbaugh’s team made it 1-1 in second on Jared Goedert’s RBI single following LaPorta’s leadoff double.

The game was scheduled for four innings.

Typo: Huff recorded only two “outs”
