At the very least, Masterson could be a nice innings eater. He seems (knock on wood) a pretty durable guy. But I’m still rather skeptical as whether he’ll ever be good or even decent against left-handed hitters. If he can perfect the changeup against lefties, that would go a long way to him not remaining only a viable starter, but possibly becoming a good starter.

The plot of velocity vs count is fascinating. I had no idea Masterson had that much spread on his velo, or that much (apparent) control over it.
