This is both sad and uplifting. I feel for the Kearn’s family. But it’s nice to know that his son is progressing with the help of some dedicated professionals. We often need reminding that ballplayers aren’t just names and statistics but human beings with feelings who deal with the same kind of distractions and frustrations we deal with in our lives, distractions that affect our jobs, and certainly theirs.
