Cleveland.com Embraces It's Anonymous Commenters
"Virtually every news Web site invites reader comments, but few embrace the garrulous members of their audiences the way Cleveland.com does. The online home of The Plain Dealer and Sun News actually treats its best commenters not only as news consumers but also as news makers."

I did a double-take when I saw this pop up on Poynter.org's twitter feed. No actual Indians stuff in the article, but I figured it would be of interest here.

Since I no longer work for the company that did it, I suppose I can now note that I did a bunch of work on the backend of cleveland.com a couple of years ago, and as such I hereby apologize for enabling all those awful commenters.
It is entirely possible that my login there still works & I can go in & delete things to my heart’s content, but probably unwise to push it. But man is it tempting.
*sigh*
