Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Not sure what to make of this, since the Tribe no doubt got more than its money's worth from Feller during his great years, but nevertheless it's an interesting reminder of how different an athlete Feller was as compared to players of today.

This is actually a pretty stupid, ham-fisted article.

But sure, Feller was a great guy.

Wouldn’t it be fun to see an sliding salary scale based on season performance.

Michael Young gets $18 million for 2011, while Adam Dunn makes something closer to the league minimum. Pujols takes a cut, but still does OK as a top performer.

Legend is that Stan Musial asked for a pay cut.

Or was he one of the first guy to hold out for more cash. He seems more like the type to hold out for more dough.

I think he’s the one who wanted $x amount and the owner said, “That is what Lou Gehrig makes!” And he said, “Well, sir, then Mr. Gehrig is underpaid.”

Matt LaPorta is the bane of my existence.
