Bob Feller twice demanded pay cuts

Not sure what to make of this, since the Tribe no doubt got more than its money's worth from Feller during his great years, but nevertheless it's an interesting reminder of how different an athlete Feller was as compared to players of today.

Wouldn’t it be fun to see an sliding salary scale based on season performance.

Michael Young gets $18 million for 2011, while Adam Dunn makes something closer to the league minimum. Pujols takes a cut, but still does OK as a top performer.
