I anxiously check the internet every few hours, even sneaking off at work to try and get some kind of update, hoping I will stumble onto the news that we signed a guy like Oswalt or traded for an all-star first basemen….but ultimately I think this is going to be like a few years ago when the Marlins seemingly dumped Cabrera to the Tigers and I woke up every morning waiting for the news that we traded for Jason Bay or Dan Haren and all we came up with was Jamie Carroll.
Christopher Colombus got more tail in 1492 than you get in a lifetime.

Won’t happen.
Looks like he wants to sign in Texas or St. Louis

St. Louis seems to be offering 5 mil at the moment. I can’t see him signing for that little unless Berkman is that good of a salesman.
My rule of thumb, is that players who are particularly choosy about who they’ll sign with aren’t signing in Cleveland.

Yes with "if’ being the operative word.

At least we are trying. Too bad the Cleveland is viewed as such an unattractive place to play that Pena and Beltran both opted for other teams despite us being willing to spend the money.
Sucks.
I blame Ichiro.

I don’t think Oswalt is coming our way. I’d still be happy passenger on the Rich Harden train, though.
Too soon.

Never has an innocuous statement sounded quite so pornographic?

Roy Oswalt’s shoulder problems as a younger pitcher were cured when he electrocuted himself on a car battery.
Not making this up.
Maybe we should sign him to our electrocuting-edge medical team.

Heyman is saying that Oswalt has rejected a $10M offer from the Tigers to take less money somewhere closer to the south (Texas or St. Louis).
I doubt the Indians are going to overpay any more than that, if even at the level.
