Sixth man in the bullpen
The Indians did not make any substantial changes to what was a successful 2011 bullpen group. Heading into spring training, the main cogs of that pen; Chris Perez, Vinnie Pestano, Tony Sipp, Rafael Perez and Joe Smith, seem set to re-occupy their spots. That leaves two openings (spots that were filled primarily with Chad Durbin and Frank Herrmann) heading into spring training. Who would you like to see win those spots? This poll will be divided into two parts, the first asking who you would like in the 6th bullpen spot, the second asking who you would like to fill the final spot. Keep in mind, the Indians 40-man roster is currently full, and each NRI that makes the squad will need a roster spot. The Indians have one spot to play with once Carrasco goes on the 60-day DL, but any other spots would require moving someone off the roster.

Wheeler please. His WHIP the last 4 years – .99, .87, 1.08, 1.11. Those are darn near close to elite reliever numbers. I wouldn’t mind Hagadone as the 7th even though it gives us 3 LHRP.
Christopher Colombus got more tail in 1492 than you get in a lifetime.
Agree.

Hagadone because I want to hear Simmons bitching when Masterson and Hagadone are having great years while the Red Sox are not winning and need a good starting pitcher and LH reliever.
The less I hear from Simmons, the better.

Why? I think the BS Report is pretty good. Of course he’s not always right or even on the right path, but I think it’s an entertaining listen even when I disagree with him.
Hagadone and Chen Lee. Need a roster spot for Lee? Dump Herrmann or Kluber.

I’d be happy with Hagadone. He is ready and it is time to start getting some big league value out of him before he breaks down again.
Herrmann. This one-pitch pitcher will become a closer and help me win my fantasy league. And also, athletes from Harvard are all the rage currently.
I’m mildly surprised that Robinson Tejada has not gotten any love in this poll. He was awful and injured last year, but was an above average pitcher from 2008-2010 (180 IP, 125 H, 3.65 ERA, 3.70 FIP, 9.4 K/9).
