Ah, the follies of being owned by a publicly traded corporation. In its annual report, Liberty Media disclosed that the $10 million the Braves sent the Tribe last year to help pay for Derek Lowe's salary helped push the club to a $6 million operating loss. "This one transaction had the impact of swinging [the Braves’] adjusted OIBDA from earnings to a loss," Liberty stated in its annual report.
