The roster machinations continue:
The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has made the following roster moves:
- Activated RHP Josh Tomlin from the 15-day Disabled List (right wrist tendonitis)
- Recalled INF Lonnie Chisenhall from AAA Columbus
- Placed INF Jack Hannahan on the 15-day Disabled List with a strained left calf, retroactive to May 27
- Designated RHP Jairo Asencio for assignment
The Asencio/Tomlin weren't all that surprising, as with Cabrera still down with a sore hamstring, Diaz was going to remain on the roster. So the Indians will go with six relievers until Cabrera is ready to go.
Hannahan's injury was a surprise, though. After missing 11 days with a lower back injury, he injured his left calf in his first game back. Lonnie Chisenhall, who was hitting .324/.353/.541 in Columbus, will fill in for Hannahan while he's out.
