A decent outing for his first start of the season, especially given the long layoff:
"You expected to see some rust, but there wasn't much," said Carter Hawkins, the Indians' assistant director of player development. "It shows you the amount of work he did in the Dominican. That's a good sign."
Hernandez will throw a bullpen session on Sunday, then will make a start in five days in either Akron or Lake County, depending on the schedule.
