The Clippers offense continued its steamroll pace, reaching double-digits for the third consecutive game. Vinny Rottino and Chad Huffman had four hits apiece, Jared Goedert and Tim Fedroff added three apiece, and Russ Canzler hit HR #16 on the season. Corey Kluber did not rack up his usual assortment of Ks, but did go seven innings and record eleven groundouts.
Jordan Henry, Thomas Neal, Nick Weglarz and Juan Diaz all got on base twice, but Akron could not get a single extra-base hit on the evening and lost in extra innings.
Grant Sides had his first rough outing since being promoted to Carolina earlier in the month, giving up four runs in relief. Trey Haley, continuing his comeback pitched a scoreless inning. Delvi Cid went 2-4 with a double and three stolen bases.

Mahoning Valley came out on the winning end of its rain-shortened game, led by a 2-2 night from Robel Garcia with two doubles and a walk. Jake Sisco recorded eleven groundouts for the Scrappers in his start.
Dorssys Paulino hit his fifth triple of the season and Mitch Brown, Benny Suarez, Breily Puerta and Joshua Nervis shutdown the Brewers for nine innings.
