NPB executives to discuss WBC strategy | The Japan Times Online
The Japanese baseball league's players union still has not agreed to participate in next spring's World Baseball Classic; they are demanding that Japan's share of the advertising and licensing revenues from the tournament go to NPB, which would then share those revenues with the players through their CBA.
Usually this wouldn't go anywhere, but the fan was asked to move in preparation for Rock n' Blast on July 20th.
There's been no tweets from Mark Shapiro, Chris Antonetti, and Manny Acta since late July, which is about when the season started to really go south.
