2013 MLB Schedule: Hints Of More Interleague Play - Baseball Nation
No team's full schedule has been released, but there's been several hints as to who is playing whom. It looks like the Indians will be playing the NL East next season, including a home-and-home (2/2) with the Phillies. Each club will be playing 18 Interleague games (6 series against another NL division, plus a series against a team's "natural" rival) , just like under the current format, but unlike the current format, the games will be spread throughout the season. So the Indians could open against a National League team.
Rest may help Asdrubal combat second-half slide | indians.com: News
We'll probably be seeing Cabrera out the lineup more or given a "half-day" off at DH. Juan Diaz, who has been hitting decently in Columbus, will likely get the call after the Clippers are done (and that looks to be soon, as the Clippers will not likely miss the playoffs), so he would be likely recipient of the playing time.
