These wins are coming way too late to make any difference in the 2012, but at least they're making watching the games fun.

Box Score

Brooks Baseball PitchFX - Zach McAllister

Zach McAllister ended his season with a nice outing, and the Tribe offense made sure that he'd be the winning pitcher. McAllister would got 6.2 innings, allowing three runs on 5 hits. Until the sixth inning, Zach had only allowed one hit on the day, so the Indians never trailed in the game, for they'd put the game away with an amazing fifth inning.

Until the bottom of the fifth, Luke Hochever was pitching fairly well. He allowed a run in the second inning when Lou Marson singled home Jack Hannahan, but other than that, he was looking good in his final start of the year. But the wheels came completely off in the fifth. Shin-Soo Choo doubled, Jason Kipnis doubled, Jack Hannahan doubled.....and so forth, until the Indians led 7-1. That was it for Hochever, but certainly not it for the Indians offense. After Jason Kipnis walked to load the bases, Asdrubal Cabrera hit a grand slam to put the game away. The Indians would score 10 runs in the inning, the most scored in an inning this season.

After that it was simply a matter of playing out the game. The Indians emptied their bench, as did the Royals. The Indians would tack on four more runs, with three coming in the eighth inning to push the lead to 15-3. Tony Sipp and Frank Herrmann would both have scoreless outings; Herrmann now hasn't given up a run in his last seven outings, and I think he's got an inside track for making year's bullpen thanks to the development of the spike curve to go with his mid-90s fastball.
