Postscript

We have 245 different guys who spent at least one game at the second sack. Fourteen of them cracked the 200 game barrier but only two guys surpassed 1000 games. Although there were only two to break 1000, eight cracked 500 games, making it another fairly stable position. Everbody on this list was a starter for at least one season except Turner. There are only 23 guys with between 100 and 200 games, leaving 198 with less than 100 games.

For the 2012 guys, Kipnis had 36 games there before the season, tied with Bevacqua at #90. As of today, he has 159 games, tying him with Luis Valbuena at #32 all-time. With 27 games to go, the best he can do is 186, which will not crack the Top 25. Donald only had 60 games and cannot crack 100 this year. Lillibridge and Jose Lopez will add 2 more names to the list.

Some other notable guys not mentioned in the comments: David Bell (101 games), Ricky Gutierrez (93), John Lowenstein (71), Billy Martin (67), Vic Power (55), Snuffy Stirnweiss (25), Jeff Kent (9), Larry Doby (4), Joe Carter (1), Einar Diaz (1), Peaches Graham (1), Sam McDowell (1).
