A month ago I mentioned that Let's Go Tribe was looking to add some new writers to the staff, to keep those of us already on board form burning out like Kerry Wood and Mark Prior after too long under the thumb of Dusty Baker, and to bring our readers a wider variety of voices. Response to that post was far bigger than I expected, leading to a much longer process than I anticipated. There were more qualified candidates than I could bring on (some of whom may be brought on board at a later date). Based on the specific areas of interest they mentioned, and the quality of the work they were able to send along, there were three writers I settled on. So today I would like to welcome Phil Kehres, Ash Day, and Chad Young to the LGT family!
Phil is well known to many of you already, as commenter Turkmenbashi. If you've spent much time in the comments, you're familiar with his passion for the Indians (and most other things Cleveland). He'll be writing news & links posts, and probably some of the game threads and recaps once the season gets going.
Ash is a Tribe fan from and living in England, which I don't imagine there are all that many of. He's been commenting as EnglandTribe, and has also had his own Indians blog, England Tribe, which Ryan and I have both linked to over the last few months. He'll be writing features and helping out with news items and the occasional news & links post.
Chad Young is a long-time LGT reader and occasional commenter (under the username chy924). He also writes for FanGraphs, as part of their roto baseball team (here's his archive page there). He'll be writing features and helping out with news items. I bet if you ask real nice, he'll give you a little advice for your fantasy league too.
All three of them will have their first post up sometime in the next few days!
