Cleveland Indians/New York Yankees rainouts rescheduled for May 13th traditional doubleheader

If you're free on May 13th, you'll get two games for the price of one. - David Richard-US PRESSWIRE

As expected, the Indians and Yankees will make up the two games rained out this week on May 13th.

But instead of being scheduled as a day-night doubleheader (with Game 1 and 1:00 and Game 2 at 7:00, for example), it will be a traditional doubleheader, where the second game will begin 20 minutes after the first game ends:

The Cleveland Indians today announced the postponed games from April 10 and April 11 vs. the New York Yankees have been rescheduled as a traditional doubleheader on Monday, May 13 at Progressive Field, beginning at 12:05PM.

If you had a ticket to either rainout, you can exchange it for both games; in other words, you'll get 6 hours of baseball for the price of one. Or you can exchange the ticket for any other home game the remainder of the season.

Undoubtedly the decision was made in order to get both teams out of town earlier; as both the Indians and Yankees play elsewhere the following evening. It should also make for a bigger crowd, given the value you're getting for your ticket.
