Three Positives to take from Royals 3, Indians 2

This was a very weird game for me. For much of the game, I felt like the Indians did not deserve to play in the same league with the Royals. However, I also felt by the end of the night that the Indians deserved the win the game based on how the two teams played. I am very tired of other teams lucking into pitching, and I'm very tired of watching the Indians ground into double plays while the other team fouls off ten pitches and refuses to let the at bat end. None of this is related. But at least by the end of that schizophrenic game I didn't feel despair that this was my team.

1) Scott Kazmir looked a little shaky early but settled down. He threw a lot of pitches because apparently every Royal foul off infinity pitches whenever he wants, and left early, but even the one homer he gave up felt more like a fluke than a mistake. If we could get another pitcher in here who isn't an automatic loss that would be nice.

2) A double, a triple, and two RBIs for Michael Brantley! That's enough to earn him a spot on the Ferocious Walruses fantasy team with the doubleheader today.

3) Jason Kipnis apparently learned a lesson and personally apologized to me on Twitter last night. He's such a nice boy. If only he figured out he's supposed to run there before reaching the Majors.
