That was 3 hours and 13 minutes' worth of pure ugliness.
- Trevor Bauer's line: 5.0 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 2 SO, 7 BB. Not exactly a typical outing by a starting pitcher, but between his occasional foray into the strike zone and some nice defensive plays, the Indians kept themselves in the game.
- Bauer also got an at-bat thanks to Lou Marson having to leave the game. Marson got run over by Desmond Jennings in a play at the plate, and because Carlos Santana was DHing, the Indians lost the DH when Santana came in to replace him. Bauer (probably on order) showed bunt three times but pulled the bat back, taking all of the pitches for strikes.
- The Indians were shut out for the second straight game, with David Price on the mound tomorrow. If they don't score tomorrow, it will have been the first time since 1991 that they'll have been shut out three straight games.
- C.B. Bucknor is a bad umpire. Not exactly news, but it needed to said again. Why he still remains employed by Major League Baseball is one of life's greatest mysteries.
