- Carlos Carrasco was throwing mid-upper 90s fastballs, but got tattooed by the Yankee B squad. And to make matters worse, he got tossed in the fourth inning after plunking Kevin Youkilis. Because of his history (he was suspended in 2011 after throwing at Billy Butler) and timing (the pitch after giving up a home run), he wasn't given the benefit of the doubt. There's a very good chance that he'll be suspended again.
- Brett Myers was just as bad. Because today was his normal day to pitch, Myers came in for Carrasco, and while he ate some innings, he allowed 7 runs on 11 hits, including 3 home runs.
- While it wouldn't have mattered what the offense did, it was bad, too. The Indians only managed one run (on an Asdrubal Cabrera home run) on 7 hits off Andy Pettitte (7 innings) and Adam Warren (2 innings)
- I'm holdin' the rage in, folks. Don't know how much longer I can do that. Maybe I'll feel better in the morning, or not...
