Jimenez Outshines Verlander, Tribe Survives Late Rally; Indians 7, Tigers 6 | Did The Tribe Win Last Night?

I'm still a little bit jittery after last night. But it's still a win, and it came against Justin Verlander to boot. Now the Indians can take the series this afternoon, something that would be a huge accomplishment given the matchups going into the series.

Tribe to get another look at Bauer on Monday | indians.com: News

This will be the third spot start for Trevor Bauer this season. The Indians seem to be doing this both because of need and as a way to reinforce the things Bauer has been working on in the minors. Think of these spot starts as mid-term exams for Bauer, forcing him to put into practice the things he's absorbed in minor-league starts and bullpen sessions. This spot start comes against the Yankees, who although they are still missing several of their key hitters, are getting produced from some very unexpected sources.

Tribe rejects criticism of umps' video display: Cleveland Indians Chatter | cleveland.com

One of the stories that came out from Thursday night's replay controversy was the equipment the umpires were using to do the replay. The equipment was checked out by MLB, but only to make sure it was functioning, not to check the specs on the TV in the replay booth.

Today's Classic Clip - Lawrence of Arabia (1962)

This epic (and if any movie ever deserved that term, it's this one) details the life of T.E. Lawrence and his experiences in World War I. Sent to gather intelligence on whether Prince Faisal of Arabia was capable of revolting against the Ottoman Empire, he ends up leading several Arab tribes in a guerrilla war against the Turks, eventually taking Damascus. But more than just an historical movie, Lawrence of Arabia details the changes Lawrence undergoes in his World War I journey.

In this clip, Lawrence has led a small band of raiders across the Nefud Desert, thought uncrossable by the Ottomans, to take the important port of Aqaba. Please note there was no CGI in 1962, so the entirety of this scene was filmed live.
