Red Sox rally against Pestano to beat Tribe 7-4 - Top Stories - Ohio
Cleveland Indians at Boston Red Sox - May 25, 2013 | MLB.com CLE Recap
Cleveland Indians implode late, suffer 7-4 loss to Boston Red Sox | cleveland.com
The big story of the game was Vinnie Pestano not only giving up the four runs (two of which not really his fault), but his velocity. From the Ohio.com recap:
"I’m not feeling any discomfort," he said. "I don’t feel my elbow at all. I’m trying to throw the ball as hard as I can, it’s just not coming out. So, I just gotta keep plugging away, use the shoulder program, stick with playing catch. I felt good out there today, better than last night
Pestano has been on a throwing program ever since entering the organization, and based on the comments after the game, it seems like the time off has really hurt him.
After the game, Pestano posted a couple tweets:
This team needs me to be better, plain and simple, I can cry and whine about it or attack it and get better. I’m gonna attack and get better

Thanks for the support on here, I’ll right this ship and get back to being the pitcher you expect to see on the mound #rolltribe

Indians News
Despite slump, Giambi still valuable to Indians | indians.com: News
I guess you knew going into the season knowing this was a possibility. This is very likely the last stop for Giambi, and making the call will be a difficult one if it has to happen during the season. Giambi still has an excellent eye at the plate, but his bat is much slower than it was even 3-4 years ago. Jason isn't really blocking anyone in the minors, but if the Indians continue to go with a three-man bench, they might be force to make a move if there's an injury that doesn't require a DL stint.
Indians notebook: Indians - Ohio
Scott Barnes, who had struggled in his brief major-league experience, finally put together a good outing on Thursday, throwing three scoreless innings. With Rich Hill struggling of late and Nick Hagadone in Columbus, he should have an opportunity to pitch himself into a more important role in the bullpen.

Anibal Sanchez extension paying off well - Bless You Boys
Remember when for 15 minutes last winter Sanchez was going to sign with the Cubs?
The Twins lost center fielder Joe Benson on waivers to Texas in order to clear to a 40-man roster spot for P.J. Walters (to start Saturday's game). Who is Joe Benson? He's a great athlete (similar in many ways to Drew Stubbs), but injuries and struggles at the plate have really lowered his stock in recent years. Obviously the Indians passed on him (as he got to the Rangers), but I thought he would have been a nice flier for the Indians to take.
Change is coming for the Kansas City Royals - Royals Review
The Royals have been one of baseball's most disappointing teams, and frustrations are mounting.
What's ahead for the new John Danks? - South Side Sox
John Danks is back after Tommy John surgery, and Jim looks at his future starts. The White Sox have the complete opposite schedule as the Indians over the next several weeks. They have another game with the lowly Marlins today, then a four-game "home and home" against the Cubs, and the only club with a winning record they'll play until the Indians come to town will be Oakland (two series). They get the Mariners (4 games), Blue Jays (3 games), Astros (4 games), Twins (3 games), Royals (3 games), and Mets (2 games) in June. It's very possible that Chicago will have a better record than the Indians the next time they meet.
