I don't think the above is hyperbole. The Indians needed to win one game in Kansas City, and for most of this game it looked like they'd have to win with their backs up against the wall tomorrow. But the Indians somehow came back against the league's best bullpen. And the Tribe bullpen gave the Indians a chance to come back, with just about every important reliever contributing. Michael Bourn and Nick Swisher, last winter's big acquisitions, drove in key runs, and Asdrubal Cabrera had the biggest hit of the night when he drove a ball just out of reach of Alex Gordon.
There are still many tense games to go, and the Indians still trail the Rangers and Rays, but boy, was this one big.
