After starting his season with seven quality starts in eight appearances, Justin Verlander has been a mess of late. He has given up at least 5 earned runs in six of his last seven starts, with a 7.83 ERA during that time, and nearly as many walks (20) as strikeouts (26), making it easily the worst stretch of his career. That said, I don't let go of my fears easily, so I don't expect an easy night for the Tribe offense.
Speaking of which, it's excellent to see Michael Brantley back in the lineup after a few days off because of a concussion (he technically returned late Friday night, when he pinch hit in the 9th inning).
