The Indians took two of three from the Astros in Progressive in late August. Since then, they have split six with the A's, taken three of four from the Rangers, two of three from the Mariners and three of five from the Angels.
Although most of the numbers for the Astros look poor, they have been a shade over .500 since the beginning of August. In their August series with the Tribe, Houston won the opener 5-1, lost the middle game on a walk-off 3-2, and the finale 3-1.

It is possible George Springer could be activated for this series and play in center. He got off to a pretty good start, and then tailed off a bit, but still has an impressive 231/336/468 line.
Carter has been scorching hot in the past month, 910 OPS with seven homers. Altuve continues to play like the All Star he is. Dominguez, Marsinick and Castro have really struggled in the past month, all with sub 550 OPS.
Singleton had the hot bat in the last Indians series, 1232 OPS in 8 PA with four RBI. But as a whole, the team hit just 160/255/245 in those three games with 33 Ks in just 106 PA. That's not very good.

Peacock was dominant in his previous start against the Tribe, he only allowed two baserunners in his five innings and struck out four. He the ndodges a lot of baserunners with Oakland, pitched into the seventh for the first time since June against the Angels, and looked great against the Mariners last time out. He has won three straight against the Rangers, Angels and Mariners, with a 1.59 ERA, 0.618 WHIP and 7.1 K/9 in 22.2 innings. Tropeano made his MLB debut last week against the Mariners, getting the victory, two runs in five innings, four hits, two walks and five strikeouts. Oberholtzer took the loss in the 3-1 game and has since been lit up by the Rangers and Angels in two of his past three starts.
