It says that Choo's rehab assignment can last up to 20 days, so assuming the max twenty, we're looking at a June 1st decision timeline on where Choo fits in. Looking at Franklin Gutierrez's split vs. RHP so far (.615 OPS), Choo's bat can fit nicely in RF spelling Gutierrez on days against tough righties. Based on the limited use of some bullpen arms this year, I wonder if the Indians will go with an eleven man staff, and carry the extra fielder giving them more time to decide what to do with Marte and Choo.

Huh? Speedy, light-hitting OF Jason Tyner gets Michaels' old 40-man roster spot and apparently half his old job — the pinch-running and defensive replacement parts. I guess.

Speculation has it that this situates the Indians better for interleague play, but aside from next weekend's trip to Cincinnati, the Indians' only games in National League parks are over a month away, June 17-22, when they'll visit the Rockies and Dodgers.

Now that he's on the 40-man, Tyner can't be sent back down to the minors unless he has an option remaining. That seems highly unlikely, as does the idea that the Indians will go with 14 position players and only 11 pitchers for very long.

It is what it is. If he wants to yell and scream after a strikeout, I guess that's what gets him going. It's May baseball.

The home run was in a much bigger situation. I didn't dance and scream. If a hitter did something like that, it would be bush.

It's kind of interesting how a pitcher gets away with it.
