I just wouldn't get as much satisfaction out of raiding Seattle.  Kind of like beating up the kid in class who just found out he has lupus.

It really needs to be an arch-rival, for this agree with the Pale Sox, but whoever it is, they need to at least have a game thread with more than 0-5 posts a game.

I'm with APV. The White Sox are beat up and demoralized as it is. The BoSox need to be taken down a peg. Plus, they'll definitely be the most profane counter-attackers, since the F-work can be used as every part of speech (including articles) with a Boston accent.

It is because of the great leadership we have on here. We have a lot of guys who blog the right way. We are gritty guys. We do the small things. We are the center square. We admire the Cobra (and not like Sal Fasano does).

Does that cover it?

If you don't feel like clicking the link, here's the blurb:

" Maria Bartiromo, the 'Money Honey' from CNBC, threw out the first pitch then practically jumped into Sal Fasano's arms. The guys on the field were laughing hysterically."

But that was back when Sal was a True Yankee.

"So I was just talking to my twins fan roommate about this site and I asked him if he reads twins blogs.  Of course he said no, so I told him he should check out the one that is linked on LGT.  Then we checked it out, and they get like anywhere from 0-5 comments on each thread."

That's from the Game Thread Uno.

Contrast that to here, where the OVERFLOW thread after the game has ended is already pushing 70.

We know how to thread the blogs the right way.

Re: Game Thread: May 2, 2007 - Overflow
Regarding Westbrook, it's helpful to remember that the DL isn't a direct indicator of injury status, but rather it's a roster tool.

So when Wedge says, "it's probably DL," what he's really saying is that he's going to miss at least one start, and the team is better off getting another starter on the roster, even if that means Westbrook is locked into missing at least three starts.

My point being:  If you thought Westbrook probably could start again in eight days, you'd still DL him.  And if Westbrook has an injury that isn't really serious in terms of long-term impact, but may take anywhere from 8 to 30 days to heal and get ready to start again, you'd still DL him.
