Top Indians prospect Francisco Mejia led the charge with one of the best games of his career, going 3-4 at the plate with a home run, two doubles and a hit by pitch.
Bobby Bradley tried to keep pace, going 2-5 with a home run, a double and four runs batted in. He was joined in the multi-hit department by Todd Hankins and Tyler Krieger.
Starting pitcher Matt Esparza didn’t have his best stuff, giving up five runs in four innings of work, but he was picked up by the bullpen trio of Robbie Aviles, Mitch Brown and Cameron Hill, which tossed a combined five shutout innings while striking out five to seal the victory.

Lake County’s lone offense came from a pair of solo home runs from Luke Wakamatsu and Conner Capel. It was Capel’s 22nd blast of the season, not bad for a second year player out of high school.
Mitch Longo did Mitch Longo things, going 2-4 with two doubles to raise his batting average to .379, but it wasn’t enough as the rest of the Lake County offense sputtered and starting pitcher Juan HIllman gave up five runs on nine hits in five innings of work to take the loss.
After a promising second wind this season, Hillman’s ERA has now climbed back over six.

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers looked like they were on their way to being shutout before exploding for seven runs in the top of the ninth inning to cruise to a surprising blowout victory.
Simeon Lucas and Austin Wade both had multi-hit games while Oscar Gonzalez had the dagger, a three-run double to push the Scrappers over the top.
Mahoning Valley Starting pitcher Francisco Perez gave up zero earned runs in 5.1 innings on six hits while striking out three and walking two.
Kyle Nelson earned the victory with 2.2 innings of scoreless, hitless relief while striking out three.

Marcos Gonzalez, Jhon Torres and Jonathan Lopez all had multi-hit efforts in game one, but the DSL Cubs1 walked off in the bottom of the ninth inning against Sergio Morillo to win it.
In game two, the Indians managed just one run on three hits while committing four errors as they were blown out badly.
The DSL Indians had a scheduled off-day.
